Message from the CEO

I was appointed as the CEO of Willings, Inc. in July 2025.
In February 2024, I traveled to India for the first time with the founder, Machida. We visited several campuses, including the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, where I was deeply impressed by the intelligence and energy of the students, as well as the immense potential of the country itself.
After that visit, Machida asked me to support the management of the company. Though I had retired, I was inspired by the potential of India and decided to take on this new challenge at the age of 65.
While this is my first time working in the human resources industry, I pledge to leverage my extensive management experience at Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Rakuten Group, and the Mainichi Newspapers Group to help the company grow significantly moving forward.

Introducing young Indian talent to Japanese companies to drive innovation and revitalize Japan—this bold vision of Machida is one we at Willings are determined to realize together.
I will continue to dedicate myself to supporting our clients in every possible way.

Message from the Founder

By a fortunate turn of events, our company is now working closely with India. I travel there many times each year, and each visit leaves me with a renewed sense of admiration for the country’s remarkable development and transformation. On one occasion, I had the opportunity to visit a state assembly in India. I was deeply impressed by the sight of veteran legislators in their 50s to 70s holding iPads, diligently learning how to use new applications from the younger generation. They told me, “By the time our children and grandchildren are in charge, this assembly will no longer use paper. That’s why it’s up to our generation to make the shift to paperless operations.”
In today’s world, people often focus only on what can be accomplished within their own lifespans. However, witnessing these leaders earnestly striving for the future reminded me of a vital truth—this kind of long-term commitment is what our ancestors naturally embraced.
I believe that this attitude holds the key to creating the future and achieving true prosperity.
I want to help make Japan a more vibrant and hopeful country for our children and grandchildren.
To that end, we will continue taking on the challenge of transforming Japanese companies through the services and products we provide.
Together with our CEO, Mizuno, we are committed to this strong mission and will continue delivering inspiration to our clients through our daily efforts.
